What a class is like?

Whether you’re dealing with chronic pain, wanting better posture, or hoping to move through your day with more ease, this class offers an intriguing way to connect with your body.

Discover your body’s natural perceptual skills and alignment with Rolf Movement® and somatic movement.

These practices can help you become more aware of how your body moves, feels, and responds, how you feel weight, and how you notice the space around you and whether you like a space that you enter or not. You will learn how to entice your movement brain with new choices that will stick.

We’ll bring attention to fascia—the connective tissue that supports and links your whole body—and how it plays a key role in movement, balance, ease and stability. By combining awareness and gentle movement, you can begin to move in ways that releases tension and feel more natural and efficient with a solid internal sense of self.

Over time, this work can help you feel more coordinated, resilient, and at ease in your body and being.

Join us for these ongoing five week modules. You can drop in at any time and experience the transformative power of somatic movement and the living support of the fascia system firsthand. As always, your body will thank you!

What is it?

Contact Improvisation is a movement practice where two people stay physically connected and explore motion together. Rather than following set steps, you learn to listen through your body—responding to shared weight, balance, and momentum as they shift moment to moment.

As you practice, you begin to soften unnecessary tension and trust the natural flow of movement. It’s less about controlling what happens and more about sensing, allowing, and responding.

This work becomes a kind of physical conversation—one that builds awareness, responsiveness, and connection. Within a clear framework of safety and consent, you can discover new movement patterns, release held tension, and reconnect with a more playful, instinctive, and expressive part of yourself.

What a class is like:

In this class, you’ll build foundational Contact Improvisation skills—like sharing weight, moving through rolling points of contact, finding structural support, exploring spirals, and working with falling, lifting, and momentum.

You’ll develop a deeper kind of listening in your body, learning how to communicate clearly and responsively through movement. As your awareness grows, so do your movement possibilities—both on your own and in connection with others. PLAY!

Together, we’ll explore touch and boundaries in a way that centers consent and personal safety within the living experience of dance. You’ll be introduced to embodied concepts like release, tone and modulation, back-body awareness, and intuitive movement.

We’ll also draw on simple somatic tools to help regulate and support your nervous system, so you can stay grounded and resourced as you move.

Over time, you may find yourself entering collaborative flow states—moments where movement feels shared, responsive, and alive. All of this unfolds within a developing and supportive community, where we acknowledge identity is present—in how we move, relate, and share space together.
